14 years in the making......................
Some of you may have seen this car dumped in the corner of my workshop, well here's the story behind it.
14 years ago Darren bought this 1972 karmann ghia, he drove it around for a while and then stripped it for a re-spray, Well after 3 different bodyshops and being "lost" for 3 years Darren bought the car to Dubz-by-Dan 2 years ago with a brief to do it when I got time.
Just after christmas this year I decided it was time to get Darrens ghia back to him 
Apart from the paint the car has a few trick body mods, see if you can spot them all

Front indicators have been patched over so guessing they're now in the headlights or benind the grills, indent for the rear bumpers has been filled and smoothed, headlights may have been changed and the rear plate light looks like it's different but can't quite see on the last photo, wing mirrors have gone and been smoothed.
How'd I do? 
Looking good by the way. 
But where are the Moon discs or white walls.
What are you looking at for bumpers?

you missed one rusty lol
the filler flaps gone
I've just modified some early bumpers to fit it and painted themglossto match the roof

In 2007, a crap hippy unit was sent to Much Wenlock by a frivolous purchase on ebay. This man promptly returned from the stockade to the Essex underground. its gone back to the owner for a retrim in red, a slap with the lowering stick and a tinty bit of stripping
