In 1968 the London Centre of the Volkswagen Owners Club of Great Britain (VWOCGB) was established for VW enthusiasts in London and the Home Counties. In 1987 the Centre became fully independent of the VWOCGB to form the London and Thames Valley VW Club (LTV-VWC) - possibly the UK’s largest regional club.
The LTV-VWC caters for anyone with an interest in VWs, air-cooled or water-cooled, any age, any condition, and is run by a Team of volunteers. LTV-VWC aim to provide an informal experience by giving members the chance to meet other local VW enthusiasts at events or on the internet, a club magazine, benefits, discounts and advice on anything VW.
LTV-VWC also organises regular local meets, trips, club camping and displays, plus their own event – Dubs at the Park: The Show.
The LTV-VWC takes a pride in helping to keep the VW scene alive, not just for its members, but all VW enthusiasts.
Myllet Arms - off the A40
This is the regular monthly meet for all LTV-VWC members, where the Organising Team discuss the running of the Club and plans for future events. All LTV-VWC Club Members are welcome to come along and have their say. There's also time to have a chat, drink and have some food. Look for the largest group and table in the pub and see what a friendly meet this is.
South Hill Park Arts Centre, Birch Hill, Bracknell, Berkshire RG12 7PA
An afternoon meet organised by London & Thames Valley VW Club. Held most months at the same venue as The Show, but in the car park from 12.30. Sometimes a cruise may also be organised.
The venue is about 10 minutes drive from Bracknell Town Centre in the Birch Hill area, easily accessible from the M3 (Jct 3) and the M4 (Jct 10). It's well signposted - look for the brown road signs saying 'Arts Centre'. There's a bar, restaurant, a kids playground, and plenty of room in the car park!
