Tammi

In brief: Hi I am Tammi and I am a 'mahusive' VDub fan. When I was younger I remember seeing all the campers and bugs going to and from the Pod. This is where it started and I always said one day I would own one. Decades later and despite all the mini model beetles, remote control beetles, wooden beetles and basically anything VDub I finally got own of my own - one I can fit in and drive.
Despite my age I only passed my test 5 years ago - I had no need to drive as I used to work at Butlins and Haven holiday parks as I lived and worked on site. My bug is my 4th and best car ever! :-)

History:'Roxy' as she is now known as started her life in 1974 and she was a blue bug. She has been transformed and is now Red. The previous owner had her for about 15 years - think she was a show car.

Roxy

Model

1974 Volkswagen Beetle 1300.

Engine

To be determined :-) Log book states 1500 but I have a receipt for a 1600 engine. So not entirely sure

Exterior

Black running boards, complete re spray inside and out in 'Rolls Royce Red metalic' from 'VolksDreams', once piece windows, pre 67 wings and Empi 8 wheels.

Interior

She's very basic, orginal huge steering wheel (which is cool), quick gear shifter, cream/grey seats with red trim all in good condition, smooth dash and centre console (that might be coming out).

Future

At the moment I have no stereo in her - not even any speakers or wires. My partner is making a new parcel shelf from fibre glass (as the old one was a mess with holes everywhere) - gonna spray this the same colour as 'Roxy' which will look cool, fit it with some speakers and horay I will have music.
Would also like to change the engine to an unleaded engine - possibly a little faster too. :-)
